The majority of clubs, which will play in the NLB League in 2010/11 season, are already known while the last two will be confirmed during the summer…
The permanent wild-card was traditionally given to Budućnost, another one went to the NLB League newcomer Nymburk while the other ten clubs qualified through their national championships: Union Olimpija, Krka (both Slovenia), Cibona, Cedevita and Zadar (all Croatia), Široki Eronet (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Partizan, Crvena zvezda, Radnički and Hemofarm Stada (all Serbia).
There are still two wild-cards available for the 2010/11 season and the NLB League Board confirmed that Zagreb CO and Bosna ASA BHT are entitled to get the wild-card. Namely, the first one was fourth in the Croatian national championship while Bosna is second in the internal Bosnian system – BiH decided to have a different qualifying system for the NLB League compared to other countries.
Both teams can get the wild-card under certain conditions, among others both need to bind themselves to cover the financial obligation the wild-card implies.
