Zoran Savić, a three time European champion and member of the gold Yugoslavian generation from the World Championship 1990, is a constant observer and visitor of the ABA League Final Four Tournaments. »I think a big step forward was done this season. Maccabi made the league even more serious and strong. With the economic crisis which shakes not only the region but also the whole world it became clear that the ABA League became absolutely necessary part of basketball. Those clubs from the region, which play only in national championships, all face problems, not only financial ones but also lack the quality in the team. Maybe the general thinking could be different 10, 15 years ago but now it looks impossible to be without the ABA League,« said Zoran Savić.
