With its reach European past BC Bosna may be easily ranked as one of the most successful club's form the ex-Yugoslavian League and as one of the rare ones which reached for the European Trophy in 1979. Founded in 1951 the club needed 17 years to qualify for the Yugoslavian First Division but with the arrival of the legendary Mirza Delibašić the club was given a push which brought the senior team to the European title and later to another two Yugoslavian national championship titles. The turbulent was time in 1990s well affected the club's structure which faces the new moment: young talents, who were once coming to Sarajevo from the whole Bosnia and Herzegovina, may now be searched for only in the Sarajevo region. But Bosna’s people are decided to bring back the old glory in the next years.
