As it was expected the 2009/10 NLB League season will host a rookie team from Serbia. On Monday, when the Serbian League for the champion finished with the last 6th round, it became obvious that Partizan, Crvena zvezda, Hemofarm Stada and FMP, which all qualified against for the NLB League and also for the domestic play-off, will be joined by Lions in the regional competition…
Lions were third in Group B and should play the game for the 5th place against the third-positioned team from Group A. But since Vojvodina took the third place in Group A, the game has no importance because Vojvodina Srbijagas has no right to play in the regional league in 2009/10 because it finished the previous season at the last place.
The Serbian League play-off will start on April 30th, the semi-finals are Partizan – Hemofarm and Crvena zvezda – FMP.

Partizan : Vojvodina Srbijagas 95:57
GROUP B:
Lions : Crvena zvezda 52:64
Hemofarm Stada : Borac 78:72
Standings, group A: Partizan 6:0, FMP 3:3, Vojvodina 2:4, Metalac 1:5; group B: Crvena zvezda and Hemofarm Stada 5:1, Lions and Borac 1:5.
