Cedevita, the youngest among Croatian clubs, did the first step in fulfiling its goals on Saturday by defeating Partizan mt:s 68-56 in the first semi-final game of the 2012 ABA League Final Four Tournament in Tel Aviv, Isreal. You can see some video shots from the game here.

The 2012 Croatian National Cup winner – which is the only title Cedevita won so far – had a slow beginning but when it turned the engine on the game was tied until the beginning of the last period. Despite the absence of its biggest star Matjaž Smodiš, who sustained the injury in previous days, Cedevita pulled away in the last minutes with a partial result 6-0 (57-49) and became the first one to stop Partizan from its for the first time in the semi-final since this Belgrade team plays in the regional competition. Partizan was playing in the final always since 2004/05.
