Nymburk is starting the NLB League with 3-0 series. The third victory tonight
could have been bigger, because Nymburk was leading by 21 points, but after
few turnovers Igokea felt they can come back to the game and made hard time
for Nymburk at the end of the game. In the 25th minute Czechs had 21 points
advantage after the shot of Simmons, but instead of keeping the difference,
Nymburk started losing balls and Igokea made it to only 5 points difference
four minutes before the final buzzer. But then Benda and Simmons helped
their team and the home ones are the happier ones.


Neno Ginzburg, head-coach Nymburk: We played today only with one point guard
and we knew it will be tough for him. I think it was a good game, we had
moments when our oponent came close to us but we won and the victory is
important. It is always important to win the home games. Our opponent is a
good team with good quality players so I am happy that we got the
victory. Now we must get ready for the next game away.


Slobodan Klipa, headcoach Igokea: I would like to congratulate to Nymburk.
Our oponent was better tonight and deserved to win. The home team was
leading the whole game, we had some moments when we came close. We have
built brand new team, almost all players are first time together. We lost
the game on our turnovers and free point percentage, even we had other stats
quite good. We lost 23 balls in the game and with this number you can not
think about the victory.

NYMBURK


Nymburk has arrived from a trip to Kragujevac on Thursday evening and has only 48 hours to recover for another tough battle. Czechs were missing their biggest man Ales Chan on Wednesday night against Radnicki and seems still not to be ready to be on the court on Saturday against Igokea. Pavel Pumprla, Nymburks star of the first game with Zvezda has been fighting with a flue and proved to be strong man on Wednesday playing with high temperature but for the weekend will be ready and healthy.

Czech crew should be ready for the game even having not much time for the preparation. “It is not easy to come back and have only one practice to prepare for such team as Igokea.”, says Neno Ginzburg, the headcoach of Nymburk. “We know that Igokea is a very good team, they brought great players. Now they lost two games in the beginning of the season and I am sure they are not coming here to lose the third one”, warns Ginzburg his guys.

Nymburk with its experience and quality of players combined with the support of the local fans should repeat at least what they have showed against Radnicki, maybe even more learning from the previous mistakes. “We have to play fast on offense which must come from our precise defense. Every game has own dynamics so I can not say exactly what will be working for us on Saturday, but I know what we should and should not repeat on Saturday to make our great fans happy”, comments headcoach Ginzburg the upcoming Saturday game against Bosnians.

IGOKEA

Pred košarkašima Igokee je novi težak zadatak u regionalnoj ligi. Nakon dva startna neuspjeha, protiv Olimpije u gostima i Zagreba kod kuće, izabranici Slobodana Klipe će, u okviru trećeg kola, gostovati kod češkog Nimburka, koji u dosadašnjem dijelu takmičenja ima maksimalan učinak.

Svjestan je strateg Aleksandrovčana da će njegov tim morati da pruži i više nego što može kako bi napravio iznenađenje na terenu izuzetno kvalitetnog protivnika. „Nimburk je pravio tim za evroligaške kvalifikacije i nema sumnje da je favorit u duelu s nama. Dva poraza na otvaranju sezone nisu unela nemir u naše redove, ali su svakako poljuljali samopouzdanje kod igrača. Ipak, iskusni su to profesionalci, koji znaju kako da prevaziđu ovakve i slične situacije. Zato očekujem da ćemo u Češkoj biti bolji nego u duelima sa Olimpijom i Zagrebom, a da li će nam to biti dovoljno za pobedu, ostaje da se vidi“, rekao je Klipa.

Nimburk je posljednji sedam godina dominantan u domaćem šampionatu, ima zaista, respektabilan tim, što su na svojoj koži najbolje osjetili košarkaši Crvene zvezde, koji su u prvom kolu ubjedljivo poraženi na gostovanju u Češkoj. „Rekao sam već da je Nimburk u prednosti, ali to ne znači da ćemo se predati bez borbe. Naprotiv, imamo ekipu koja može ravnopravno da parira ne samo Česima, već i svim timovima u NLB ligi. Od svojih igrača ću, kao i uvek, tražiti da pruže maksimum i nadam se da ćemo se sa ovog teškog gostovanja vratiti uzdignuta čela. Težak je zadatak pred nama, ali se ne bojimo izazova“, dodao je šef stručnog štaba Aleksandrovčana.

I dugogodišnji prvotimac Igokee, Bojan Đurica, očekuje žestoku bitku pod obručima. „O kvalitetima Nimburka ne treba trošiti riječi, ali zar u NLB ligi ima slabih rivala? Dakle, svjesni smo šta nas čeka, ali isto tako znamo da ako odigramo kako treba ni iznenađenje nije nemoguće. Idemo da se nadigravamo, pa šta bude“, naveo je 27-godišnji Đurica, koji još nije dobio priliku da debituje u regionalnom takmičenju.
